Oradeo Recruitment is presently seeking interest for an experienced Head of Operations with strong Building Services/Electrical Engineering background to work on projects in locations such as Germany and the Netherlands.

As Head of Operations coming from an engineering or building services background, you will join this growing company specialising in large-scale industrial developments. You will be taking responsibility for a multi-disciplinary team on a variety of large-scale construction projects across Europe, the role of Operations Manager involves project managing a range of projects across different countries, ensuring a focus on quality, health and safety and overseeing the design, installation and supply of electrical systems. The role involves extensive travel across Europe.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Project management- overseeing contractual works, ensuring quality control and managing the day-to-day operations on site
• Liaising with Electrical and Cable pulling supervisors to set priorities and manage the personnel within each project
• Responsibility for health and safety of all subcontractors and of all visitors to all sites
• Managing the process of ordering and maintaining stock levels on each project
• Carrying out on-site inspections
• Onsite team co-ordination, including staff allocation
• Setting out weekly/monthly schedules for supervisors
• Defining the technical requirements, timescales, cost, resources and feasibility of projects
• Developing step-by-step project plans
• Leading a multi-disciplinary project team
• Negotiating with designers, engineers, contractors and suppliers
• Sharing regular progress reports with the client and stakeholders

Necessary skills and requirements:

• Level 6 – Fetac Electrical Qualification / trade cert coupled with a minimum of 5 years Site Management experience (large job experience)
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale projects
• Excellent IT, communication and organisational skills
• Prior experience in electrical estimating
• Good presentation and general management skills
• The ability to multi-task and take an overview on a large number of projects at any time
