Oradeo Recruitment is presently seeking interest for a Labelling Engineer to join the client’s team in the West of Ireland. The Labelling Engineer will be responsible for providing labelling design and development support to EMEA sites in support of business continuity, remediation activities, customer requests/complaints, and regulatory changes.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of packaging labelling and labelling solutions for New Product Development/Introduction (NPD/NPI), new labelling systems and legacy products, including IFU’s.
  • Participate in / lead cross-site, cross-function labelling related projects and activities.
  • Design for manufacturability, ease of inspection and optimum cost.
  • Generate project design assurance documentation and update label-related documentation as required.
  • Labelling equipment validation and support.
  • Communicate with various departments, functions and sites within Zimmer Biomet on labelling related projects.
  • Liaise with service suppliers/ vendors as required, such as in the area of IFU management.
  • Build Quality into all aspects of work by complying with all internal and external requirements and regulations.
  • Participate in the QMS related activities as required.
  • Support of internal and external audits and inspections (Competent Authority, Notified Body).
  • Support aspects of label data management.

Necessary skills and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree / HETEC Level 8.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a Medical Device or other regulated industry required.
  • Understanding of Labelling requirements within a regulated industry.
  • Understanding / experience of Labelling Design requirements within a regulated industry is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain attention to detail and quality of work output.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results, meet deadlines and expedite critical project completion.
  • Good ability to manage multiple projects/activities.
  • Proven ability to work well as part of a team and on own.
  • Very strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively work across multiple sites and to communicate effectively to multiple levels of the company.
  • Ability to effectively work with stakeholders and customers and to identify customer requirements.
  • Very strong understanding of the relevance and importance of quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of label data management and the ability to analyse and manage large data sets is advantageous.
