Oradeo Recruitment is seeking applications for an experienced Logistics Project Manager to join a leading international contractor delivering large-scale construction projects across the Benelux region. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, organised and ambitious individual to progress their career with a tier-one contractor operating on some of Europe’s most challenging and high-profile builds.

The Logistics Project Manager will take ownership of all strategic and operational logistics planning on the project, ensuring efficient material flow, coordinated deliveries, effective site access, optimised storage allocation, and full compliance with safety and quality standards. You will play a central role in supporting construction progress by ensuring the logistics strategy aligns with programme milestones.


Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Logistics Planning

  • Develop, implement and oversee the full project logistics strategy from early works through project completion.

  • Define, map and manage all storage zones (internal/external), laydown areas, logistics routes, holding areas and consolidation zones.

  • Develop logistics plans supporting construction sequencing, site constraints, traffic flow and safety requirements.

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material flow, reduce congestion, and increase site efficiency.

Material Delivery Coordination

  • Manage the online logistics booking system, ensuring accurate scheduling and approval of all material deliveries.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive call-off system to support just-in-time deliveries to work faces.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure compliance with logistics procedures, delivery requirements and site safety rules.

  • Liaise with site security and traffic management teams to maintain safe and controlled access to the project.

Vertical & Horizontal Transportation Management

  • Monitor plant capacity (cranes, hoists, telehandlers, MEWPs, forklifts) and coordinate material movements to maximise utilisation.

  • Work closely with the Appointed Person/Crane Coordinator and the wider logistics team to ensure safe lifting operations.

  • Develop protocols for the movement of oversized, hazardous or high-value materials.

Interface & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a key link between construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, security and health & safety on all logistics matters.

  • Lead weekly logistics coordination meetings and track actions relating to deliveries, storage and plant utilisation.

  • Engage proactively with discipline leads to forecast upcoming logistics demands and identify potential bottlenecks.

Compliance, Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain project logistics plans, traffic management plans and material flow diagrams.

  • Maintain accurate logs, KPIs and reporting to project management, including delivery performance, plant usage and logistics issues.

  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with project EHS requirements and local regulations.

  • Contribute to risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work relating to logistics activities.


Necessary Skills & Requirements

  • 3rd-level qualification in logistics, construction management, engineering or a related discipline (desirable).

  • Experience in a logistics or site operations management role on large construction, industrial or data centre-type projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, MEP/CSA interfaces, temporary works and site access planning.

  • Proven ability to lead, manage and influence subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Experience with logistics software, booking systems, and digital site management tools (advantageous).

  • Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills.

  • Experience with vertical transportation planning and material handling equipment.

  • First Aid training (or willingness to obtain certification).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly technical and schedule-driven environment.
