MEP Quantity Surveyor (Various Locations Across Europe)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of cost management for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) packages on large-scale projects.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts specific to MEP works.
  • Oversee procurement processes, including tender analysis, supplier negotiations, and awarding MEP subcontracts.
  • Conduct detailed measurement and valuation of MEP works, ensuring accurate cost reporting and tracking.
  • Assess and manage variations, claims, and changes to MEP scope to protect financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.
  • Provide regular, detailed cost reports and forecasts to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure MEP packages meet all contractual, quality, and compliance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on MEP works (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
  • Strong experience working on data centre projects is highly desirable.
  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Economics, or a related field.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and experience managing MEP costs on large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in cost management tools and software (e.g., CostX, Cubit, Excel).
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within dynamic project environments.
  • Willingness to travel or work on-site across European project locations as required.
