We are currently recruiting a Project Manager (Internal Fit-Outs) to join a project team based in Tralee, Co. Kerry. This role offers the opportunity to manage the successful delivery of internal fit-out works from pre-construction through to completion, working within a professional and well-structured project environment.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of internal fit-out construction works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The role involves leading multidisciplinary project teams, managing client and stakeholder relationships, and ensuring full compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
Plan, manage, and deliver internal fit-out projects in line with agreed programme, budget, and specifications
Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, commercial, design, and construction functions
Monitor progress against programme, manage risks, and implement corrective actions where required
Ensure effective resource allocation and achievement of key project milestones
Maintain accurate reporting on progress, costs, quality, and key performance indicators
Quality, Safety, and Compliance
Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance across all activities
Ensure all works comply with design documentation, specifications, and statutory regulations
Implement and monitor project-specific quality plans, method statements, and inspection regimes
Support audits, inspections, and reviews, driving compliance and continuous improvement
Commercial and Contract Management
Manage project budgets, forecasts, variations, and cash flow in collaboration with the commercial team
Ensure accurate reporting and effective contract administration
Ensure procurement processes are followed and subcontractor performance is managed effectively
Support tendering, bid preparation, and preconstruction activities where required
Leadership and Communication
Lead, motivate, and develop project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional development
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
Chair progress, coordination, and client meetings, ensuring clear communication of objectives and outcomes
Act as the primary point of contact for project-related decisions, queries, and escalations
Candidate Requirements
Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
Proven experience in a Project Manager role within a Tier 1 construction or engineering environment
Experience delivering internal fit-out or building projects is highly advantageous
Relevant health and safety certification (Safe Pass, CSCS, SMSTS, or equivalent)
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
Professional membership or working towards membership of a recognised body (CIOB, Engineers Ireland, RICS, ICE, or equivalent)
Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or Business Management
Training or experience in lean construction, digital project delivery, or sustainability practices
