Oradeo Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a leading international construction contractor on major Data Centre projects in Frankfurt, Germany. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced project teams, providing technical support and overseeing engineering activities to ensure the successful delivery of complex construction projects.

Candidates must hold a recognised Appointed Person (Lifting) qualification and demonstrate proven experience in planning, coordinating and supervising complex lifting operations on construction or industrial sites.

Senior Engineer Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Manager and wider project team by providing technical advice and engineering expertise throughout the project.
• Maintain daily liaison with the project team, design team and subcontractors to ensure effective coordination of engineering activities.
• Carry out technical verifications of civil engineering designs, models and construction drawings.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance (QA) procedures, including pre-pour and post-pour concrete inspections.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and assist in resolving technical issues as they arise.
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices across the site.
• Monitor and record materials, plant requirements and site logistics.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, documentation and project reports.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise lifting operations, ensuring compliance with relevant safety procedures and project requirements.

Necessary Skills & Requirements:

• Relevant third-level degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar engineering role.
• Proven experience planning, coordinating and supervising complex lifting operations.
• Previous experience on construction or civil engineering projects within the pharmaceutical, Data Centre, high-tech, distribution or warehouse sectors.
• Proficiency in the use of GPS equipment, robotic total stations and levelling equipment is essential.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction drawings, engineering models and site coordination.
• Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
