Senior Health & Safety Officer | Main Contractor | Dublin

Oradeo Recruitment is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Officer to join a top-tier contractor working on high-profile projects in Dublin.

Role Overview

This position involves overseeing health and safety standards across multiple project sectors while working within an ISO-certified environment (ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001). You will collaborate closely with the Health and Safety Manager to drive compliance and foster a safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and uphold health and safety procedures on sites.
• Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and propose improvements.
• Update the Safety Statement to comply with regulations.
• Record and analyze incidents, providing insights to senior management.
• Deliver inductions, refresher training, and ensure compliance with HSA legislation.
• Represent the company during audits and external inspections.
• Attend regular site meetings and champion safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Formal Health & Safety qualification (3rd Level preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally with a main contractor.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001 environments.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and a proactive approach to safety culture.
