Oradeo Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading contractor on data centre projects in Germany. The Successful Senior Planner will be tasked with leading and managing the successful delivery of several data centre projects within in the Frankfurt area and will have the opportunity to further develop their career with this well-established organisation into a Planning Manager function.
Senior Planner Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare contract and project programmes, and produce ongoing monthly progress reports
- Monitor progress trends, outputs, and resources across projects to enhance the planning department’s knowledge base
- Complete all scheduling and reporting requirements for tenders and contracts
- Execute short- to medium-term planning reviews and provide impartial, forward-looking insight to mitigate project risks
- Challenge, critique, and explore alternative construction solutions to drive continuous improvement
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate closely with project teams on planning and schedule-related activities
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the wider project team, supply chain, and other stakeholders
- Ensure planning aligns with project objectives and client expectations
Necessary Skills & Requirements:
- Relevant third-level degree in construction, engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 7 years’ industry experience, including planning and scheduling on data centre projects
- Excellent IT skills – proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to provide objective project insight
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Desirable:
- Experience with digital planning tools and construction technology
- Knowledge of international construction standards and best practices
- Professional membership in planning or project management institutions
