Oradeo Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a leading contractor in Dublin, managing on-site operations and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality and safety standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on medium to large-scale developments, where you can leverage your technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving skills to make a real impact.

Senior Site Engineer Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring all work aligns with project plans, schedules, and specifications
• Monitor project progress, maintain accurate records in the daily site diary, and provide detailed updates to the Project Manager
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring efficient workflows and quality output
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction adheres to technical drawings, quality standards, and project specifications
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare management systems, including site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments
• Set out site works using robotic total stations, GPS, and other surveying tools for accurate measurements and layouts
• Manage plant, labour, and materials, liaising with suppliers for timely orders and monitoring day-work activities
• Address technical issues on-site, interpret drawings, and communicate design changes or construction challenges to the team
• Act as the primary on-site point of contact for contractors, suppliers, inspectors, and regulatory authorities
• Report regularly to senior engineers or management on project progress, resource requirements, and any issues affecting timelines or budgets
• Collaborate with clients and consultants to resolve queries and maintain satisfaction while upholding company standards

Necessary Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in planning and scheduling within construction, preferably on medium to large-scale projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building regulations, and Irish standards
• Excellent organisational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset to address on-site challenges promptly
• Proficiency in construction software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project)
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Team-oriented approach with the ability to build strong working relationships
• Adaptability to work in fast-paced, dynamic construction environments
