leading Road Construction and Civil Engineering Companies.<br \/>This position will come with an excellent remuneration package and a clear path for career growth and development.<\/p>\n<p>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>&bull; Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives<br \/>&bull; Setting out, levelling and surveying the site and reconciling tender submissions<br \/>&bull; Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations<br \/>&bull; Ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are in accordance with the specifications<br \/>&bull; Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials<br \/>&bull; Agreeing a price for materials and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project, value engineering as necessary and possible<br \/>&bull; Managing, monitoring, and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect<br \/>&bull; Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project<br \/>&bull; Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws<br \/>&bull; Communicating with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors)<br \/>&bull; Attending regular meetings to keep clients\/representatives informed of progress<br \/>&bull; Carrying out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors<br \/>&bull; Planning the work and organising required plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines<br \/>&bull; Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site<br \/>&bull; Preparing reports as required<br \/>&bull; Keeping central Management updated daily on general progress of project completion<br \/>&bull; Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise<br \/>&bull; Overseeing site operations and assisting with site paperwork<br \/>&bull; Managing and overseeing all engineering functions and assisting in all contracts as required<br \/>&bull; Working in conjunction with Safety Cert Health and Safety System<br \/>&bull; Site setting out taking measures and creating Asbuilt drawings<br \/>&bull; Helping to negotiate final accounts with measurement records<br \/>&bull; Assisting with Tendering Pre-Quals<br \/>&bull; Overseeing and carrying out risk analysis<br \/>&bull; Ordering materials from suppliers<br \/>&bull; Managing site staff and getting involved with general overall productivity<br \/>&bull; Liaising and running of surfacing crews on site<br \/>&bull; Directly managing a number of projects, with site agents and client engineers reporting to Directors<\/p>\n<p>&bull; Involving commercial ability, including traffic management, interim and final accounts, and contract claims where appropriate<br \/>&bull; Managing contracts from initial enquiry through programme, preparation for paving, civils, lining, billing and account agreement<br \/>&bull; Managing Project Costs on site and liaising and attending meetings as required with the company accountant<\/p>\n<p>Necessary skills and requirements:<\/p>\n<p>&bull; 3rd level qualification in Construction Management\/Engineering<br \/>&bull; Ideally possessing 3+ years&rsquo; experience working with a main contractor\/specialist subcontractor acting as a Site Engineer within Ireland or the UK<br \/>&bull; Strong setting out experience<br \/>&bull; Strong operational skills and an attention to detail<br \/>&bull; Familiar with MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook<br \/>&bull; Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills<br \/>&bull; Analytical thinker with demonstrated problem solving skills<br \/>&bull; Ideally you will possess experience working in the following sectors: commercial, pharmaceutical, residential, high rise, industrial, data centre, mixed use in excess of &euro;5 million<br \/>&bull;
