The company are specialising in the design, manufacture and supply of precast concrete to the UK &amp; Irish construction markets. The company is headquartered in the Dublin area, with regional offices and manufacturing facilities in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Oradeo&rsquo;s client has an award winning reputation who collaborate with some of the most prestigious Clients, Architects, Consultant Engineers, Professional practices and Contractors in Ireland and the UK. As <strong>Head of Production,<\/strong> you will play an integral part of the Senior Management team.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Job Overview:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Head of Production will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process for our precast concrete facade products. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in production management, process optimization, and team leadership. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of our production operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Head of Production Responsibilities:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>&nbsp;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Production Planning and Scheduling:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing lead times.<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality precast concrete facade products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Process Optimisation:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity.<\/li>\n<li>Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Quality Assurance:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with the quality control team to establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for precast concrete facade products.<\/li>\n<li>Implement and enforce quality control processes to identify and address any issues in the production process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Resource Management:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage production resources, including equipment, materials, and personnel, to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities for technology adoption or upgrades to enhance production capabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Health &amp; Safety:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment for production staff.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Team Leadership:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recruit, train, and lead a skilled production team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and mentorship to team members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Collaboration with other Departments:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with the engineering and design teams to ensure seamless coordination between product design and production requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to optimize material flow and inventory management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Continuous Improvement:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the implementation of new technologies to enhance production capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Necessary Requirements:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>&nbsp;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10+ years of experience in a senior production management role within the construction or manufacturing industry is desirable but not essential.<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of precast concrete manufacturing processes would be an advantage but not essential.<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership and team management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to lead and manage a team of up to 200 people with a diverse range of skilled trades.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>For more information about this Head of Production contact Nick Barker at Oradeo Recruitment confidentially on +353 1 687 7188 \/ +353 87 720 9723 or Nick.Barker@Oradeo.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>About Oradeo &ndash; Oradeo Recruitment <\/strong>are specialists in the construction &amp; engineering sector.
