France’s credit rating reduced by Fitch

Rating agency Fitch has reduced Franc’e credit rating to AA-plus, stating that France had an uncertain economic outlook during this time of crisis in the euro zone and a need for structural reform in the county. These were just some of the concerns cited by Fitch, other concerns being: weaker economic output, budget deficits, an increase in the unemployment rate and subdues external demand.

However, Fitch is not the only rating agency to rate France this way. Standard & Poor’s rated France AA-plus with a negative outlooks, whereas Moody’s had rated the country Aa1 with a negative outlook as well. Read More
