Oradeo Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead to join a leading international contractor on a large-scale data centre project in Sweden. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior mechanical professional to play a key role in delivering mission-critical MEP works on a high-value project in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical delivery on site from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover

  • Coordinate mechanical services installation (HVAC, piping, plumbing, etc.) to ensure alignment with programme, quality, and safety targets

  • Manage the mechanical subcontractors, ensuring scope compliance and performance

  • Work closely with the Project Manager and other discipline leads to drive project delivery

  • Ensure installation works adhere to design specifications, technical submittals, and local standards

  • Attend and contribute to daily coordination meetings, progress reviews, and client inspections

  • Monitor testing and commissioning schedules and documentation

  • Resolve technical and logistical issues as they arise

  • Provide regular reporting to senior management and client representatives

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • 8+ years’ experience in mechanical construction with at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • Strong background in large-scale MEP installation, ideally within data centre or mission-critical environments

  • Ability to manage subcontractors, programmes, and QA/QC systems

  • Excellent technical understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, CHW, DHW, etc.)

  • Strong leadership and coordination skills in a multicultural site environment

  • Willingness to work on rotation in Sweden (travel, accommodation, and expenses covered)

  • EU passport or unrestricted EU work rights preferred
