Oradeo Recruitment are seeking a Quantity Surveyor (CSA) to join our client’s Data Centre team in Denmark. The successful candidate will assist the commercial and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery, manage subcontractor relationships, and optimise commercial outcomes while mitigating risk.

 

Quantity Surveyor (CSA) Responsibilities:

Commercial & Contract Management

  • Prepare tenders, analyse and select subcontractors, negotiate and finalise orders
  • Manage financial and commercial aspects of subcontractors through to final account completion
  • Maintain accurate site records, document control, and measurement records
  • Assist with forecasts, contract value reconciliations, valuations, and variations
  • Update projected final account and submit on time
  • Influence and challenge commercial matters in collaboration with site management
  • Implement commercial strategies while protecting contractual entitlements
  • Identify and assess risks and opportunities to maximise project outcomes
  • Engage in cash management activities and support tendering processes
  • Supervise and mentor Assistant and Trainee Quantity Surveyors

 

Technical & Administrative Duties

  • Apply Standard Method of Measurement and maintain independent oversight of measurements
  • Maintain comprehensive site documentation and control records
  • Use technology platforms effectively to support commercial reporting
  • Communicate clearly in written and verbal form to support project stakeholders
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and ownership in all tasks

Necessary Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree-level education in Quantity Surveying or related discipline, working towards professional accreditation
  • Knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration processes
  • Skills in negotiation, letter and report writing, and contract value reviews (CVRs)
  • CIOB membership or eligibility
  • Completed 2-day safety appreciation course including contract and commercial awareness

Desirable:

  • Experience with large Design & Build projects
  • Knowledge of claims, dispute resolution, and contract law
  • Experience controlling traditional contracts or supervising Assistant Quantity Surveyors
  • Experience with contracts valued above €/£15m
