Senior Quantity Surveyor | Data Centre Projects | Dublin

Oradeo Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor on major data centre projects in Denmark. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing commercial team on large-scale, technically complex developments across Northern Europe.

The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple projects, ensure strong commercial performance while maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Commercial Management & Project Delivery

  • Manage multiple projects to maximise commercial returns while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Track project deliverables and ensure commercial and administrative systems, budgets, and cost control procedures are effectively implemented
  • Lead the commercial planning and execution of projects
  • Review tender documentation in detail to identify risks and opportunities
  • Monitor project performance to ensure delivery on time and within budget
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with project teams

Cost Control & Reporting

  • Report on actual costs versus estimates, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures
  • Prepare and present reports outlining project progress, risks, and solutions
  • Ensure proactive cost control and financial management throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to support client objectives

Procurement & Contract Management

  • Review and approve subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensure subcontracts are properly prepared and managed in line with agreed scope
  • Maintain contractual correspondence in accordance with contract terms, including detailed analysis of claims, variations, and EOT notifications
  • Ensure all project team members understand contractual obligations and requirements

Team & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Manage and support commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Build and maintain strong client and PQS relationships
  • Support collaboration across project teams and stakeholders

Necessary skills and requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline
  • 6+ years’ experience in quantity surveying within construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (RIAI, FIDIC, JCT, etc.)
  • Proven commercial acumen with the ability to manage costs and risks effectively
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and reporting ability
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
