Oradeo Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading international construction contractor delivering major Data Centre projects across Germany. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, coordination and successful delivery of large-scale, mission-critical developments, with opportunities to contribute throughout the tender, pre-construction and construction phases.

 

Senior Planner Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and manage detailed project programmes for major Data Centre projects from pre-construction through to handover.
  • Prepare baseline programmes, monitor progress and produce regular planning and performance reports for project stakeholders.
  • Analyse project progress, critical path activities and overall performance, identifying risks and opportunities to support successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers and subcontractors to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
  • Lead planning workshops, look-ahead planning sessions and schedule reviews to support effective project execution.
  • Monitor resource requirements, procurement schedules and key project milestones.
  • Identify potential delays and develop mitigation strategies and recovery programmes where required.
  • Provide planning expertise throughout tender, pre-construction and live project phases.
  • Support project controls, progress measurement, earned value reporting and schedule risk analysis.
  • Review construction methodologies and identify opportunities to improve programme efficiency and overall project delivery.

 

Necessary Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction planning on major construction projects.
  • Proven experience delivering Data Centre projects or other large-scale mission-critical developments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of critical path analysis, project controls, progress reporting and schedule risk management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Previous experience working on international construction projects is advantageous.
