Oradeo Recruitment are seeking an experienced Regional EHS Manager to join a leading construction contractor on projects initially based in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the company’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Management System across allocated projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting best practice throughout site operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EHS professional to take on a regional leadership role across a diverse portfolio of construction projects.

 

Regional EHS Manager Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor the company’s EHS Management System across allocated construction projects.
  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture, working closely with Site Management, contractors and the wider workforce.
  • Encourage a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement across all project sites.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and subcontractors to address safety concerns and develop effective solutions.
  • Monitor EHS performance across allocated projects and support the implementation of best practice procedures.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, legislative requirements and changes to Health & Safety regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams to maintain high standards of Environmental, Health & Safety compliance.

 

Necessary Skills & Requirements:

  • Recognised third-level qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • Professional Health & Safety certification such as NEBOSH, OSHA or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ industry experience.
  • Proven experience working as a Health & Safety Manager within the construction industry.
  • Previous construction experience, particularly across residential and commercial developments, is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively with site teams and senior management.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and relevant EHS management systems, including HammerTech.
