Oradeo Recruitment is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer for a leading construction contractor based in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating engineering functions on site, ensuring the effective delivery of project objectives while maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, technical quality and setting out.

 

Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Manage, monitor, coordinate and deliver all engineering functions to meet project objectives.
  • Manage the effective control and flow of all technical information required throughout the project.
  • Work closely with the project team to promote and maintain the company’s Health & Safety standards on site.
  • Review and challenge design and technical proposals, identifying and implementing practical solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of setting out across the project.
  • Mentor and support the engineering team, helping to develop their technical skills and capabilities.

 

Necessary Skills & Requirements:

  • Relevant third-level degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in a similar Civil Engineering role.
  • Previous experience with a main contractor on infrastructure construction projects is preferred.
  • Experience across roads, motorways and infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
  • Strong setting out experience is essential.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, BIM software and AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with project stakeholders.
