Oradeo Recruitment is currently seeking a Design Manager for a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor based in Dublin. This is a pivotal role in the successful planning and coordination of complex building projects across various sectors including data centres, life sciences, and commercial developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the design process from pre-construction through to project completion

  • Coordinate design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure fully integrated design solutions

  • Oversee the production and review of coordinated drawings and ensure alignment with project requirements, planning regulations, and industry standards

  • Proactively identify and resolve design challenges while driving value engineering and buildability

  • Participate in client and design meetings, maintaining clear and effective communication among all stakeholders

  • Monitor design progress against programme milestones, ensuring timely delivery of design information

  • Support the tender and bid process with technical and design input as required

  • Promote a collaborative design culture focused on innovation, compliance, and performance

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a design management role, ideally within a Tier 1 contractor environment

  • Strong technical knowledge of architectural, structural, and MEP design coordination

  • Proven track record delivering large-scale projects in sectors such as data centres, life sciences, or commercial

  • Proficient in design tools such as BIM, Revit, and AutoCAD

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Dublin
