We are currently recruiting an Electrical Construction Manager to join a major data centre project in Frankfurt. This role offers the opportunity to work with a leading international contractor on one of Europe’s most significant hyperscale developments.
The Electrical Construction Manager will lead the delivery of all electrical construction activities on site, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives are consistently achieved. You will manage subcontractors, direct labour, documentation, progress reporting and electrical package coordination through to project handover.
• Manage site safety in conjunction with the project team and Safety Advisor, including setup and close-out of the safety file
• Oversee site QA processes with the QA Manager, ensuring full documentation control
• Manage project schedule and progress in alignment with the project management team
• Track and manage all project-related costs including labour, materials, plant, equipment, variations and valuations
• Oversee day-to-day electrical construction activities and site operations
• Lead and manage the project’s electrical team, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives
• Monitor subcontractor performance, staffing levels and weekly progress; chair minuted weekly subcontractor meetings
• Manage the in-progress snagging system and ensure weekly updates from supervisors
• Ensure accurate reporting of direct labour and subcontractor hours
• Attend all key project meetings including internal reviews, coordination meetings, engineering reviews and handover sessions
• Support the close-out of all project deliverables including O&M Manuals, Safety Files, QA Files, punch lists and final accounts
• Review and validate weekly progress reports, highlighting delays, design shortages, third-party issues and percentage progress
• Drive a strong safety and quality culture across the electrical scope of works
• Maintain current, accurate subcontractor documentation including all safety information
• Prepare weekly safety statistics and labour projections
• Participate in weekly commercial meetings to ensure variations are captured and submitted
• Support the development and implementation of company procedures
• Manage change control processes, including cost and schedule impacts
• Perform all other duties relevant to this role
• Strong knowledge of the full electrical design and construction process
• Ability to manage people, subcontractors and complex project schedules
• Trade background or relevant third-level engineering/construction qualification
• Proven experience delivering and coordinating large-scale construction projects
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Construction Manager
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Able to work under pressure within strict deadline environments
• Experience driving large-scale industrial or data centre projects
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office, Windows and MS Project
• Work on high-profile hyperscale data centre projects
