Oradeo Recruitment is currently seeking a Project Director on behalf of a top-tier main contractor, for high-profile mission-critical and commercial developments in London and Sweden. This executive-level position is ideal for a senior construction leader with experience in delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to handover on major builds

  • Drive commercial, technical, and programme delivery across multiple workstreams

  • Act as the primary client interface, ensuring alignment with commercial goals and project objectives

  • Provide strategic leadership to on-site teams and support functions, ensuring high performance and collaboration

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards

  • Manage stakeholder relationships, design development, and subcontractor engagement

  • Oversee project budgeting, cost control, and risk management

  • Develop and implement project execution plans, resource strategies, and performance KPIs

  • Contribute to business growth, pre-construction strategy, and client retention efforts

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior project roles with Tier 1 contractors

  • Proven track record delivering large-scale data centre, commercial, or life sciences projects across the UK/EU

  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills

  • Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge (e.g., FIDIC, NEC)

  • Willingness to travel between the UK and mainland Europe as required

  • EU/UK passport or right to work across both regions
