Oradeo Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Health & Safety Advisor for a leading construction contractor based in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing the company’s EHS Management System, promoting a positive health and safety culture and ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practice across site operations.

 

Senior Environmental Health & Safety Advisor Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the company’s EHS Management System on the project.
  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture on site, working closely with site management, contractors and workers.
  • Monitor EHS compliance across the site and carry out regular inspections.
  • Prepare and issue weekly EHS inspection reports, highlighting areas for improvement and any non-compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with the wider project team.
  • Influence, support and coach the site team in implementing best-practice EHS standards.

 

Necessary Skills & Requirements:

  • Recognised EHS degree or diploma, with a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Health & Safety roles.
  • Previous construction industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS management systems, site compliance and safety procedures.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with site teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
