Oradeo Recruitment is presently seeking interest for a Senior Planner to join a market leading international main contractor based in the Dublin/Leinster area. The successful Senior Planner/Project Planner will have the opportunity to work on a multitude of exciting, complex and large project surround the Dublin area

The Successful Senior Planner will be tasked with leading and managing the successful delivery of a number of projects within in the Dublin area and will have the opportunity to further develop their career with this well-established organisation into a Planning Manager function.

Senior Planner Responsibilities:

Responsible for the preparation of Contract / Project Programmes and ongoing Monthly Reporting of progress
Monitor progress trends, outputs and resources across projects to increase the knowledge database for the planning department
Complete all schedule and reporting requirements for a tender /contract ensuring the works are completed to the correct standards
Work closely with the project team to assist with any planning/ schedule related activities
Develop, maintain and foster collaborative relationships with the wider project team, supply chain and other project stakeholders
Execute ongoing short to medium term effective planning and review on projects and provide impartial forward insight to mitigate project risks
Challenge critique & explore alternative construction solutions to drive continuous improvement & optimum solutions on the project

Necessary Requirements:

3^rd level qualification in Engineer or Construction
5+ years previous Project Planner experience in a similar construction role working for recognised contractors
Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Primavera, Microsoft Project, Asta Power Project and in particular MS Excel are essential
Possesses experience working on projects in-excess of €10 million within the commercial/residential/industrial sectors etc.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are required
Ability to work well in a pressurised team environment is crucial
Good time management essential
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Analytical thinker with demonstrated problem solving skills
Ability to work in a team or on own initiative
Ability to perform multiple tasks at a high level of quality
