Oradeo Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a leading contractor in Dublin, managing on-site operations and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality and safety standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on medium to large-scale developments, where you can leverage your technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving skills to make a real impact.

Senior Site Engineer Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring all work aligns with project plans, schedules, and specifications
Monitor project progress, maintain accurate records in the daily site diary, and provide detailed updates to the Project Manager
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring efficient workflows and quality output
Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction adheres to technical drawings, quality standards, and project specifications
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare management systems, including site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments
Set out site works using robotic total stations, GPS, and other surveying tools for accurate measurements and layouts
Manage plant, labour, and materials, liaising with suppliers for timely orders and monitoring day-work activities
Address technical issues on-site, interpret drawings, and communicate design changes or construction challenges to the team
Act as the primary on-site point of contact for contractors, suppliers, inspectors, and regulatory authorities
Report regularly to senior engineers or management on project progress, resource requirements, and any issues affecting timelines or budgets
Collaborate with clients and consultants to resolve queries and maintain satisfaction while upholding company standards

Necessary Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in planning and scheduling within construction, preferably on medium to large-scale projects
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building regulations, and Irish standards
Excellent organisational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Analytical and problem-solving mindset to address on-site challenges promptly
Proficiency in construction software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project)
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Team-oriented approach with the ability to build strong working relationships
Adaptability to work in fast-paced, dynamic construction environments
