Oradeo Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a leading main contractor delivering high-profile building and civil engineering projects throughout the Dublin region. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

 

The successful candidate will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Commercial teams to ensure efficient project delivery. This position offers excellent exposure to major projects and provides a clear pathway into senior operational management roles.

 

Senior Site Manager Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and coordinate all day-to-day site operations to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
  • Lead site teams including Foremen, Engineers, direct labour, and specialist subcontractors
  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, programme, and quality standards
  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to maximise productivity and programme performance
  • Monitor project progress and work closely with Project Managers to achieve key project milestones
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality compliance across site operations
  • Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings while fostering a positive safety culture
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication throughout project delivery
  • Identify and resolve site issues proactively to minimise delays and maintain programme
  • Ensure all project documentation, site records, and reporting are maintained accurately
  • Support planning, sequencing, and coordination activities alongside the wider project delivery team
  • Drive quality workmanship and ensure successful project completion and handover

 

Necessary Skills & Requirements:

 

  • 7–10 years’ experience in a Site Management role with a main contractor
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial, residential, mixed-use, or civil engineering projects
  • Previous experience working for a Tier One or leading main contractor is highly desirable
  • Third-level qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or a recognised trade qualification with extensive site management experience
  • Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site operations
  • Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and quality management systems
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and people management skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Eligible to work in Ireland
  • Full EU Category B Driving Licence
