We are recruiting an experienced Site Manager to join a high-performing project team in Cork. This role involves overseeing all aspects of site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Ideal for candidates with a strong all-round construction background.
Role Overview The Site Manager will lead day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, managing resources, and maintaining excellent client and team relationships. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee site operations ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
Deliver projects that meet client expectations and foster professional relationships with design teams and client representatives.
Maintain the highest standards in health & safety, quality, and client service.
Report progress accurately and in a timely fashion to the Project Manager/Contracts Manager.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to standard with minimal rework.
Plan, co-ordinate, and execute works per contract documents.
Maintain excellent working relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors, and supply chain.
Resource and schedule work in line with the project construction program.
Collaborate with the project QS to resolve upcoming issues or potential challenges.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Strong all-round building experience; combined Shell & Core and Fit-Out preferred.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time, from conception to completion.
In-depth knowledge of construction industry practices and project execution.
Computer literate, familiar with MS Office and project management software. Experience with Common Data Environments (CDE) such as Procore is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter with good judgment and ability to work under pressure.
Effective manager capable of motivating and driving teams.
Commercially aware, understanding market and competitor trends.
